Rooster Law Firm began in North Little Rock during the COVID-19 outbreak and grew out of the legal concern for the growing financial and emotional strain families felt at the time. Spouses and parents often cannot anticipate the full affect of a family break-up, especially during stressful times. Divorce often brings financial problems, negative effects on the household, or the overwhelming worry and isolation found in the midst of a legal storm.  With us, you will know that you are not alone in this.

What's in a Name?

Amanda and Shane's last name "Cox" is a surname meaning an adult male chicken, originally known as a "cock" in Old English. The first bearer of the Cox surname was a fellow who bore a fancied resemblance to a rooster.  "Cox" began being applied as a name both to folks who were early risers and those who proudly strutted around. The word "rooster" didn’t appear until 1772 due the term "cock" gradually falling out of favor as it eventually was considered rude. However,  the name Cox continues.

Amanda and Shane are married law partners who proudly share this Rooster name in their reputation. We may not always strut about, but  we are proud to fight for our clients. By bringing the protection of the law to their corner, our clients know that they can trust us with their unique case. We are thankful to have a strong legal reputation in Central Arkansas.  You need to know you have a team you can trust to fight for your legal rights. With us, you have just that. No matter which member of the family you may be, we are here to fight for you.
